But is it Art? is an independent record label, with the tagline «Pop Music Grand Cru» – their artists make stylish, sophisticated pop music. The company's identity reflects this as well as making references to their name and playing with music industry conventions.

But is it Art?'s business is to a large extent based on on-line sales, and its website is built around a label web shop and ties in with social networks. But the physical presentation of bought records is another important part of the brand, as it gives added value to a physical music purchase.
